KnockReps is a training service for door-to-door canvassers, operated by Gaintrack LLC (“Gaintrack,” “we” or “us”) at knockreps.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, the name you enter, your team name, and your role and group on a team.
- Campaign materials. What your team enters to set up practice: candidate or issue profiles, door scripts, approved answers, grading rubrics and mock voter profiles.
- Practice data. What trainees type in practice conversations, the mock voter’s replies, hints, support levels, scores and coaching notes.
- Usage records. A log of each AI request (which team and user made it, what kind it was, and how much text was processed), so we can enforce plan limits and control costs.
- Technical information. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Please don’t enter real voters’ personal information, such as voter file records, into KnockReps. Mock voters should be fictional.
How we use it
- To run the service: signing you in, generating mock voter replies, hints and grades, and showing scorecards to you and your team.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce usage limits.
- To bill your team and to contact you about your account or the service.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We don’t sell personal information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your campaign materials or practice data to train AI models.
Who can see your practice data
KnockReps is set up by teams. Team owners and trainers can see their trainees’ practice conversations, scores and coaching notes. Trainees see their own. Each team’s data is kept separate from every other team’s.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of providers to run KnockReps. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and sign-in emails.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Anthropic: the AI that plays the mock voter, writes hints and grades conversations. Campaign materials and practice conversations are sent to Anthropic’s API for this. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, it does not use this data to train its models.
- Microsoft: our business email, if you write to us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies
KnockReps uses only cookies needed for the service to work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers which team you’re viewing. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account information, campaign materials and practice data while your team’s account is active. When a team cancels, or when you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or security reasons. Backup copies are overwritten on a rolling basis.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing kendall@knockreps.com. If you’re a trainee, your team owner can also help with data that belongs to your team. We’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
Security
We use encrypted connections, keep each team’s data separate, restrict access by role, and keep secret keys on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we’ll notify affected users if a breach affects their information as the law requires.
Children
KnockReps is a workplace training tool and isn’t meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and let team owners know by email before the changes take effect.
